International hunger charity, Action Against Hunger, announces new headline speakers for upcoming conference, Together Against Hunger.

H.E Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Bin Thani Al Thani has donated $5.8 million to Action Against Hunger to run projects supporting malnourished children in Kenya and Somalia.

The UN’s State of Food Insecurity report launched today reveals that levels of global hunger continue to rise each year.

We welcome the announcement of an additional £372 million to provide immediate and long-term relief to countries facing the escalating hunger crisis. But this is less than half of what is urgently needed to avoid a famine in east Africa alone.

As G7 Development Ministers meet today, Action Against Hunger warns of devastating hunger crises around the world. The organisation is calling on the G7 countries to launch a food and nutrition security alliance and to immediately provide a multi-billion dollar support package to save the most vulnerable people from starvation.
