What is The Stronger Communities Challenge?

Through our Stronger Communities Challenge, Action Against Hunger invites corporate businesses from across sectors to take part in an initiative designed to develop young talent while driving meaningful change championing our work where it’s needed most.

Teams of young professionals, including graduates, interns, and trainees are given £100 in seed funding and challenged to grow it into £400+ over three months.

When does it take place?

Whenever works best for your business! Participating organisations have the freedom of choosing when to carry out this challenge across the year.

Who can take part?​

Everyone is welcome. The initiative is designed for teams of young professionals, including graduates, interns, and trainees but middle/senior colleagues will also have an opportunity to get involved as Mentors, supporting and guiding the more junior members taking part in the challenge.

How do donations help?​

Funds raised support Action Against Hunger’s life-saving work in around the world – supporting communities where the need is greatest.

What does Action Against Hunger provide?

Action Against Hunger will provide £100 in seed funding per team, alongside a campaign toolkit including promotional assets, communications templates and educational resources. We will also deliver fundraising training, either in person or virtually, to help teams maximise their impact throughout the challenge.

What does the training involve?

Our training is delivered by experienced fundraising professionals and is designed to help participants feel confident, prepared, and motivated ahead of their challenge.

Sessions are flexible and can be delivered either virtually or in person, with a minimum duration of two hours. The training focuses on building practical communication and fundraising skills, helping participants develop the confidence needed to engage supporters and maximise their fundraising efforts.

Our team will tailor the session to the needs of the group, ensuring every participant feels equipped and ready for a successful challenge experience.
