Our venue
On Monday 15 June, we’ll gather in the iconic surroundings of Claridge’s; a setting that feels fitting for a 25th anniversary. Known for its timeless elegance and exceptional hospitality, it’s the perfect stage for an evening that blends great food with a sense of fun and purpose.
What to expect
Hosted by Andi Oliver, this is an evening where the tables quite literally turn. The critics, usually found judging from the dining room, step into the kitchen themselves, cooking for a room full of chefs, guests and their peers. It’s part competition, part spectacle, and entirely brilliant.
This year’s Too Many Critics will be a one-of-a-kind event, bringing together leading voices from the food and hospitality industry for a night of role reversal, creativity and purpose – all to raise vital funds and awareness to end global hunger for good.
Tickets for our 2026 event will be released soon.
Event highlights
- Champagne reception: We’ll begin the evening with a Taittinger Champagne reception, alongside canapés for a chance to settle in and soak up the atmosphere before the action begins.
- Dinner with a twist:Enjoy an unforgettable dinner created by the chefs at Claridge’s, while watching the critics take on their own culinary challenge in the kitchen. Expect a few surprises along the way.
- Silent and live auctions: Our auctions feature a carefully curated selection of experiences and prizes, from fine dining to once-in-a-lifetime moments, all in support of Action Against Hunger’s work.
In the kitchen: the critics
This year’s line-up includes Adam Hyman (CODE Hospitality and The Good Food Guide), David Ellis, Hannah Crosbie (The Guardian), Hannah Twiggs (The Independent), Leonie Cooper, Matthew Fort (Fort on Food) and Tom Parker Bowles (Daily Mail).
Judging the critics
Keeping them in check will be Elliot Grover (45 Park Lane), Karan Gokani (Hoppers), Nigel Haworth (Northcote) and Sally Abé (Teal).
Elliott Grover, Culinary Director at 45 Park Lane, and one of the Chef Judges turned Critics for the evening said:
“As chefs, we’re privileged to work with incredible ingredients every day. Supporting Action Against Hunger is a reminder that access to nutritious food shouldn’t be a privilege: it’s a fundamental human right.”
