A devastating flash flood hit Nepal On Wednesday 26 August after a lake burst.
The death toll is over 1,000, with 3,900 still missing in Nepal and Tibet. It’s feared a second flood could cause further loss of life.
Survivors urgently need water, food, shelter and medical care – and we won’t stop until they get the urgent aid they need.

Severe flooding has struck the Trishuli River Valley in Nepal’s Nuwakot and Rasuwa districts, with at least 39,000 people affected.
The flood hit when a glacial lake burst, after climate change and rainfall accelerated its melting.
“Immense volumes of water surged through a narrow, steep Himalayan valley. They carried with them mud, boulders, sediment and ice. It is a liquid avalanche moving at extremely high speed through the rugged terrain of the Trishuli Valley.”
