Swim Serpentine takes place in Serpentine Lake in the beautiful Hyde Park. Whether you're new to open water swimming or have been dipping your toes in for many years, this is the perfect event for you.

We have a limited number of charity places for the half-mile swim, each with a minimum fundraising target.

How to apply for an Action Against Hunger charity place at Swim Serpentine 2026

Applications for one of our limited charity places in the Swim Serpentine is open until 31 July 2026. Make sure to include as much detail as possible in your application as this is really helpful for when we start allocating places!

Swim Serpentine terms and conditions

  1. I understand that completing an application form does not guarantee me a place in the 2026 Swim Serpentine, and that I will be contacted separately if my application is successful.
  2. If accepted, I agree to pay Action Against Hunger the registration fee of £25 to secure my place. Payment will not be taken if my application is unsuccessful. Registration fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another event or product or person.
  3. I understand that if accepted for an Action Against Hunger 2026 Swim Serpentine, I am undertaking to raise at least a minimum of £100 in sponsorship (excluding Gift Aid), all of which will go to Action Against Hunger Charity.
  4. I confirm that I will be 18 years of age by the date of the 2026 Swim Serpentine and that, to the best of my knowledge, my general state of health and fitness is good and I take full responsibility for my training.
  5. I commit to raising at least 50% of my £100 fundraising target 4 weeks before the event date.
  6. If I am not able to fundraise the minimum amount, I understand that I am to cover the outstanding amount myself.
  7. I commit to informing Action Against Hunger as soon as possible if I am unable to take part in Swim Serpentine 2026 due to injury or illness.
