We work with a range of organisations in a variety of ways, but all our partners share our vision of a world free from hunger.
Every year, we put on a fantastic range of exciting events for our most valued supporters, including street food festivals and gala dinners prepared by some of the UK’s tops chefs.
We’re also incredibly lucky to be supported by some of the country’s top foodie events.
In July 2020, Today’s Special, a UK restaurant industry fundraiser spearheaded by the teams at Hawksmoor and Pho restaurants, brought the hospitality industry together to raise a fantastic £225,000 for our work.
At an incredibly difficult time, restaurants, bars, chefs and hotels generously donated more than 150 money-can’t-buy prizes. These prizes were then auctioned off online and through alive event streamed on Zoom, hosted by Great British Menu judges Andi Oliver and Oliver Peyton, auctioneer Tom Best and comedian Tom Allen.
Fine Wine and Art Dinner
The Fine Wine and Art Dinner is Action Against Hunger’s annual flagship event. Guests have the opportunity to win one-of-a-kind prizes while enjoying a bespoke four-course meal created by the evenings chefs. Previous chefs have included Angela Hartnett, Tom Kerridge, Raymond Blanc and Heston Blumenthal.
Now entering its 14th year, the Fine Wine and Art Dinner has raised an incredible £3.4 million for our international work worldwide to date.
Hawksmoor Dream Team Dinner
Our long-term partners Hawksmoor have held the annual Dream Team Dinner for the past eight years – raising over £625,000 to date. We invite guests to dine at Hawksmoor Guildhall, where they’re treated to courses cooked by some of this country’s most talented chefs whilst having the opportunity to win a host of fabulous prizes.
Taste of London
For 13 years, we’ve been the charity partner for Taste of London – helping us to raise money to give vulnerable children around the world a stronger start and a brighter future.
At each festival, three of the UK’s best chefs create dishes that we serve at our restaurant stand at the event. With their support, we’ve managed to raise a brilliant £362,000 through our restaurant stand, alongside onsite collections and donations to use our cloakroom.
