children in Occupied Palestinian Territory, where Action Against Hunger is providing life-saving services

Occupied Palestinian territory

Political and economic instability is having a damaging impact on the daily lives of most Palestinian families.

The current situation in the West Bank and Gaza is very unpredictable due to recent political developments and internal tensions. Examples are the decision to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, the reduction of funding from the US, as well as protests in Gaza against Israeli policies that resulted in violent confrontations unseen since 2014.

The energy crisis and the failure of reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas also contribute to this unstable environment.

The land, air and sea blockade stifles any employment opportunities and almost 1 million Palestianians depend on food assistance.
