Sabrina de Souza joined Action Against Hunger as the UK Advocacy Manager in September 2014.
She leads on the development and delivery of advocacy and campaigning in the UK to achieve positive change on priorities in nutrition and humanitarian action. This includes taking forward advocacy to ensure the UK government makes the most effective contribution it can on global hunger and undernutrition, both in its policies and practices, as well as its action and influence in international processes.
Sabrina joined the organisation from RESULTS UK – an advocacy organisation working in health and development – where she worked as the Nutrition Advocacy Coordinator. With experience in both high-level and public advocacy, she has built champions for nutrition and health in the UK through a variety of advocacy activities. She has been involved with the development and delivery of the Generation Nutrition campaign since 2013 and coordinates its UK coalition. Sabrina co-chairs the Action for Global Health Child Health Working Group, has a Master of Public Health in International Development and a Bachelor in International Relations and Politics from the University of Sheffield.
