Take action against hunger this Ramadan and help save lives in Bangladesh
Hundreds of thousands of Rohingyas have fled from Myanmar to Bangladesh in recent months due to the outbreak of heavy violence in the Rakhine State. Many children and young mothers are traumatised, undernourished and in urgent need of support.
Action Against Hunger has been working in Bangladesh for over a decade, and was ready to respond immediately. As the crisis continues, we’re still one of the main agencies on the ground. In Action Against Hunger’s 18 outpatient therapeutic centres and six in-patient centres, we have delivered vital malnutrition screening for 440,921 children and lifesaving nutrition treatment to close to 12,000 severely acutely malnourished children. We have also provided over 3.5 million hot meals and delivered almost 4.7 million litres of safe drinking water, but, as the crisis continues, there is still so much to be done.
This Ramadan we are asking you to support our team in Bangladesh to help to ensure that Rohingya refugees receive the food, clean water, shelter and medical care that they so vitally need.
Whether you want to give your zakat, hold a fundraising iftar or collect donations through your own fundraising activity, now is the time to take action and help to save the lives of Rohingya Refugees today.
