Palringo users fishing to fight against child hunger
This year Palringo has chosen Action Against Hunger as one of its official partners for its annual charity campaign.
Palringo will donate 25% of revenue from its popular mobile game ‘Fishing Bot’ to Action Against Hunger during the four-week campaign.
Competition will be rife, as users play for the chance to catch four limited edition characters, which will only be available to catch throughout the four-week period. Users who catch all four will be awarded a special one-off Achievement!
In addition to the game, Palringo will also donate 50% of revenue from the sale of a special Action Against Hunger Message Pack during the campaign– a collection of fun, animated stickers that users can send in chat groups.
The money raised from the campaign will go towards Action Against Hunger’s work supporting children at risk from hunger in over 46 countries, including India.
Despite its status as an economic powerhouse, India has the largest number of children suffering from life-threatening malnutrition in the world, with over 8 million children under 5 at risk from life-threatening hunger. Palringo will help fund an ambitious programme designed to work with local partners and help India becomes a world leader in the fight against child hunger.
Palringo is the world’s largest network of mobile gaming communities, connecting people around the world to chat and play. Leveraging the engagement and competitive nature of the Palringo community has helped the app raise over $400,000 for charity over the past two years, showing the potential of gamification and charitable giving within a social context.
Action Against Hunger is proud to partner with the Palringo community on this exciting new initiative that will provide life-saving support to thousands of vulnerable children around the world. We are looking forward to sharing updates with you throughout the year so you can experience the impact your support will have. Watch this space!
