London to Brighton, Action Against Hunger

London to Brighton Challenge 2017

Event Details 

Dates: Saturday 27th May - Sunday 28th May 2017 

Main Start Location: Old Deer Park, Richmond, Surrey, United Kingdom 


Over the May Bank Holiday 3,000 adventurers will take on 100km from Capital to Coast in the 6th annual London to Brighton Challenge. Most will be walking at a pace that suits them, quite a few will jog parts, and some will run the whole course. It's tough but achievable; a test of stamina and determination, and an unforgettable journey of self discovery, with full support all the way.  

Starting in Richmond it’s along the Thames, up the North Downs, some wonderful Sussex countryside before the South Downs and then the coast comes into view with the welcome home straight of Brighton Racecourse where the finish line awaits, and a fantastic sense of achievement.  

Whether you're a walker and new to endurance events, or a marathon runner looking to up the distance the journey will be amazing there’s half challenge and quarter challenge options, and you can join as an individual or a team. So why not take on the challenge in 2017 for Action Against Hunger. 


Quarter Challenge 

The Quarter Challenge is a 31km walk starting in Oaks Park in Surrey through the Surrey Hills on your way to Tulley's Farm on the edge of the High Weald AONB. Starting early on Saturday 27th May. 

Registration Fee £40 and £150 Mininum Fundraising Target

Half Challenge 

There are two Half Challenges from London to Brighton. Both start on Saturday 27th May 2017, First Half Challenge is a 50km route from Richmond to Tulley's Farm and the Second Half Challenge starts at Tulley's Farm to finish in Brighton. 

Registration Fee £50 and £275 Minimum Fundraising Target 

Full Challenge  

The Full 100km Challenge can be taken on in two different ways. The first is the continuous challenge starting on Saturday 27th and the second is the camping option, you start on Saturday 27th and once you reach the half-way mark at Tulley's Farm on the edge of the High Weald AONB you setup camp ready to complete the second half early on the Sunday morning.

Registration Fee £70 and £395 Minimum Fundraising Target


Support 

When you sign-up to take part in this challenge Action Against Hunger will be there to help with fundraising by providing you with a welcome pack including fundraising guides, training tips and t-shirts for fundraising and a technical tee for the event itself.
