Volunteer with Action Against Hunger
Sparing some time to volunteer with Action Against Hunger will help us continue to make a difference in putting an end to child hunger and help you to gain valuable work experience.
We’re always on the lookout for people to join our street collections. We can secure street collection permits for cities across the UK throughout the year to make sure there's a street collection that suits you. If there's a specific date or location you're interested in please contact us and we'll do our best to get you a permit.
Organise your own fundraising event
Fancy having your own community event for Action Against Hunger? Contact our team for tips and advice on running a fundraiser. Once you get in touch we can give you any assistance you need.
Volunteer at food events
Whether helping out on our pop-up restaurant stand, the Shop n’ Drop area, selling raffle tickets, collecting donations or promoting new fundraising initiatives, there’s a whole host of different activities you could get involved in at food festivals and exhibitions throughout the year to fundraise and spread the word about our work to new potential supporters.
Voluntary internship programme (unpaid)
Our voluntary unpaid internships are designed to provide opportunities for graduate students and people who might be looking to change careers. To date, over 100 students have volunteered in our UK office in Greenwich. Internships are advertised on our jobs page and are offered on a volunteer basis.
We often need the help of volunteers at one of our many fundraising events throughout the year. Whether it’s helping us at the London Marathon, our Run Against Hunger or Taste Festivals, please get in touch to see what opportunities we have available.
Pro Bono support
Share your expertise. Often, the support we most need is expertise. This helps us save money, improve our service and increase our impact. Have you or your colleagues any special skills or abilities that you would like to share with us?
