Too Many Critics Manchester

Too Many Critics Manchester in aid of Action Against Hunger

Too Many Critics Manchester

On Monday 19th March, in association with Northern Restaurant and Bar 2018, our Too Many Critics will return to Manchester. We are thrilled to announce that this year’s event will be held at the highly anticipated 20 Stories, D&D London’s first restaurant in Manchester.

Some of the North’s top restaurant critics and food writers will experience life on the other side of the pass – donning chef whites to prepare an exclusive dinner to be judged by some of the North’s finest chefs and restaurateurs.

Aiden Byrne, Chef Director at 20 Stories is no stranger to Too Many Critics, having sat on the chef judging panel of the fundraiser for the last 4 years. Now he will be tasked with having the critics take over his own kitchen and guiding them to create a very special meal.

“My experience of judging Too Many Critics has been so much fun and that is what we intend to continue. It’s our time to turn the tables on the critics and watch them put their money where their mouth is to raise money for Action Against Hunger.”

This year, guests will be welcomed to the brand new sky high venue at No 1 Spinningfields   with a Champagne Taittinger reception, before the critics are put through their paces to create some of 20 Stories key dishes for the guests. This year looks to be the toughest year yet for our brave critics entering the kitchen include Joe Warwick (Where Chefs Eat), Mark ‘Gordo’ Garner (Manchester Confidential), Emily Heward (Manchester Evening News) Neil Sowerby (Taste of Manchester) Ruth Allan (Manchester Wire) and Louise Rhind-Tutt (iNews and I Love Manchester).

Throughout the evening, guests will have the opportunity to bid on a host of exclusive and money-can’t-buy experiences and items in our Live and Silent Auctions.

All funds raised on the night will go directly towards Action Agaisnt Hunger's work, providing malnourished children with healthier futures in nearly 50 countries worldwide.
