Taste of London 2018
After an amazing five days of fun in the sun, Taste of London 2018 is finally over, and what a fantastic five days it was!
As Taste of London's charity partner for the 12th year, Action Against Hunger was once again running a restaurnt stand at the food festival, and this year our theme was spring rolls - designed for us by the amazing Asma Khan, Chantelle Nicholson, Rosie Birkett, Selin Kiazim, and Zoe Adjonyoh. Ranging from spicy Bengali potato spring rolls to baharat spiced beef, caramelised onion, feta dressing and muhammara spring rolls, the choice was mouth-wateringly good - and all of the proceeds raised went to our work helping malnourished children grow up strong and healthy. Great food helping a great cause - how could anybody resist?!
Alongside the spring rolls, Action Against Hunger also raised money by selling raffle tickets and running the official cloakroom, as well as talking to guests at our exhibitor stand to promote the work that Action Against Hunger does all around the world - it certainly was a busy week! Across all of our activities we brought in nearly £27,000 which is a fantastic result, and a wonderful way to celebrate our continued partnership with Taste of London.
Of course, we could not have done any of this without the hard work, support and dedication of all of our sponsors, volunteers, and customers, so from everyone at Action Against Hunger we would like to say THANK YOU for making this year such a success.
