Earlier this month we celebrated our 10th Taste of London! In the past decade we have worked with over 40 chefs and served over 20,000 dishes to Taste visitors, raising over £200,000. It has been an incredible 10 years of fundraising, and this June was no exception.

We were delighted to serve up five sensational burgers from some of the UK’s best chefs. Nieves Barragan-Mohacho, Raymond Blanc, Shaun Searley, Gizzi Erskine and Jason Atherton each created their ultimate burger which we sold from our restaurant raising £20,000. 100 per cent of proceeds from our restaruant go towards our work around the world. We dished up delicious beef, chicken, lamb and veggie burgers, and to accompany these were sweet potato fries with Nieves Barragan Mohacho’s alioli and padron peppers. We raised the second highest amount we’ve raised from the restaurant in the 10 years.

Elsewhere onsite we ran other activities including our raffle, featuring some incredible experiential and foodie prizes, and our exhibitor stand where we ran some fun timed games to engage the public with what we do in our programme areas.

We are delighted to announce that we made over £30,000 from our activities at Taste of London this year! This would not be possible without the hard work, support and dedication from our volunteers, sponsors, chefs, 5 star chefs and of course Taste of London.

So from everyone at Action Against Hunger, we would like to say THANK YOU for your support and for enabling us to raise £30,000 towards our work around the world.

Our success is thanks to:

Our 5 Star chefs - Nieves Barragan-Mohacho, Raymond Blanc, Shaun Searley, Gizzi Erskine and Jason Atherton

Our volunteers – Each year we rely on a large team of dedicated individuals who help us cook, serve, sell raffle tickets, collect donations and work hard to help us raise funds. We wouldn’t be able to do it without our 100+ team.

It’s a fantastic cause, with proceeds from the restaurant helping provide good nutrition to children and their families around the world, so we’re extremely proud to be a part of it.”
