Manchester's Tattu restaurant creates a shake and stir for Action Against Hunger
Tattu bar and restaurant to host a cocktail competition and networking event in aid of malnourished children
Aug 15 2016
Popular Manchester restaurant and evening venue Tattu, which has generously supported Action Against Hunger’s Love Food Give Food campaign for the past two years, is calling on budding mixologists to try their hand at creating a cocktail for charity.
Those keen to flex their creative skills will share their ideas and recipes via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Tattu’s experts will then choose five finalists to compete behind their bar in a mix off event on Wednesday 14 September. The competition is open to anyone who thinks they can match Tattu’s eclectic mix of styles and flavour combinations- whether a trained bartender or a budding Brian Flanagan (that's Tom Cruise's character in Cocktail, for those not in the know).
The winning cocktail creator will enjoy a meal for two and the kudos of seeing their drink featured on the restaurant’s menu during September and October 2016, where 50p from every sale will be donated to Action Against Hunger. The organisation provides families worldwide with access to safe water and sanitation services because often poor water and sanitation access can lead to, or exacerbate, child malnutrition. You can find out more about that here.
Tattu will also be hosting Manchester’s first ever Love Food Give Food networking event later this month. This will be a chance for our wonderful restaurant supporters up north to get together and share ideas about how to make Action Against Hunger's Love Food Give Food campaign an even greater success.
If you think you know your Grand Marnier from your Curaço, then why not have a go? Upload your ideas and recipes to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram by tagging @TattuMCR and using the hashtag #WeDrinkTheyDrink. Tickets for the final can be purchased through Fatsoma where £10 from every sale will go to Action Against Hunger UK.
