Shake Shack and Berber & Q create a one off fundraising burger to help raise funds and help end child hunger

To mark the launch of Shake Shack’s latest restaurant opening in Canary Wharf, Shake Shack has teamed up with Middle Eastern and North African Grill House Berber & Q to create the ShackBerber burger, a limited-edition burger to raise vital funds for Action Against Hunger.
The burger has been created by Head Chef and Co-founder of Berber & Q, Josh Katz and Shake Shack’s Culinary Director Mark Rosati. 300 limited-edition burgers will be available on opening day only, and 50 per cent of sales will be donated to help Action Against Hunger reach more children around the world.
Josh Katz, Head Chef and Co-founder of Berber & Q says, “I’m so excited to be bringing a taste of the Middle East to Shake Shack for this one-off burger and for such a good cause.”
Shake Shack has kindly supported Action Against Hunger for three years through its annual campaign ‘The Great British Shake Sale’ which has raised almost £27,000 to date. In 2016 they supported us at our annual street food themed event Auction Against Hunger by hosting a pop up restaurant and have also kindly donated money can’t buy prizes to auction lots at our events over the years, including a trip to their iconic restaurant in New York, raising thousands.
Emma Cullingford, Head of Food Related Fundraising for Action Against Hunger said: “We are thrilled to be partnered with Shake Shack again and can’t thank them enough for the last three years of support. The money they have raised through this and other campaigns is instrumental to our work around the world to end child hunger. We partner with restaurants because of our joint love and work with food and it is so touching to see Shake Shack including us in the launch of their latest restaurant. Thank you Shake Shack and Berber & Q!”
