Taste of London 2016 | Action Against Hunger

Taste of London's Festive Edition last week was our best yet. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this year the most successful in 10 years

This year marks Action Against Hunger’s 10th anniversary of working with Taste of London, ‘The World’s Greatest Restaurant Festival’. Last week we joined thousands of Londoners getting into the Christmas spirit as the official charity partner for Taste’s Festive Edition in the stunning Tobacco Dock, East London.

Amongst the Christmas trees and working alongside some of London’s finest foodie outlets, we raised funds through our 5 Star Burger restaurant, serving 5 delicious burgers created by 5 of the UK’s best chefs. We are proud to have collaborated with Peter Gordon (The Providores), Atul Kochhar (Benares), Pascal Aussignac (Club Gascon), Sophie Michell, and Tom Hunt (Poco) who each created an original and mouth-watering burger. For every dish sold, all proceeds go towards our work to help malnourished children grow up strong.

As was evident from the snaking queues and hordes of hungry customers, this was one of our busiest restaurants yet, raising over £20,000. This has helped to make 2016 our most successful year yet in our 10 years working with Taste of London, raising over £58,000 throughout the year. Alongside the restaurant, we ran a raffle with some incredible prizes and helped customers keep track of all their shopping by managing the festival’s cloakroom in exchange for donations.

We could not have done any of this without the support of our customers, volunteers and sponsors, so from everyone at Action Against Hunger we would like to say THANK YOU for making this year our most successful year with Taste of London.

Our success is thanks to:
