With Love Food Give Food well under way we wanted to take the opportunity to showcase some super supporters that will be hosting supper clubs for Action Against Hunger this Autumn.

A Filipino Feast

Supper club brothers Mike and Mark Corbyn, AKA The Adobros, are on a mission to feed the masses of London with their brand of hearty Filipino food.

Based out of Southeast London, we have created a dining experience that we feel captures the best of the Filipino food culture we grew up with: the warm welcome, the social sharing, the festive feasting and, of course, the distinctively delicious flavours of our take on Filipino classics” explained Mark.

Food is an integral part of Filipino life and culture: whenever there is a gathering, no matter how big or small, or whether with friends, family or even strangers, there is guaranteed to be food present. And underpinning this is an undercurrent of generosity – you share and offer whatever food you can, even if it is just whatever scraps you have left over.

We at The Adobros are in a rather privileged position of being able to look after our families as well as offer hearty feasts to our guests, whereas many of our compatriots both in Philippines  and elsewhere are not so lucky. Yet we know that if ever we were to be hosted by any of them, we would be just as well-fed and looked after as the guests at one of our supper clubs. Taking part in The Love Food Give Food campaign is therefore but a small way for us to reflect on this Filipino spirit of generosity, and do our part to share what we have with whomever we can.”

The Adobros Love Food Give Food supper club takes place on 27th October in London. To register for tickets sign up to their mailing list here.

A Sensational Seasonal Supper

Manchester based personal chef and caterer Sarah Holder is also lending her skills and passion to support Love Food Give Food with her Taste the Love supper club.

We specialise in celebrating the season’s best produce in a fun and colourful way. People can look forward to a four-course meal and arrival cocktail on the night.”

I am very fortunate to be able to cook for people every day and lucky enough to have cupboards full of food. In the everyday running of my business I donate food to a local charity and I also want to raise money and awareness for people who are not as fortunate through Love Food Give Food.

Taste the Love's Love Food Give Food supper club will take place on 4th October in Manchester. Tickets are currently sold out, however Sarah is also running a raffle as part of the event which you can enter here.

If you’ve been inspired to hold your own Love Food Give Food supper club or fundraiser in your community you can register for your free pack here or email the team to find out more.
