Calling all kitchen whizz's! Can you create a delicious dish for less than £1?

This spring hundreds of Action Against Hunger supporters are challenging themselves to spend no more than £5 on food and drink over 5 days to help raise awareness of children suffering from malnutrition as a consequence of living below the poverty line, whilst raising vital funds to help end it. As part of our Live Below the Line campaign, we are calling upon kitchen whizz’s to help develop a new pound-stretching recipe to help make the challenge a bit more flavoursome.
The best entries will be judged by one of Action Against Hunger’s top chef ambassadors, Alfred Prasad, who worked as Director of Cuisine and Executive Chef of Michelin-starred Tamarind for over 10 years. The winning recipe will then go on to feature in Action Against Hunger’s exclusive Live Below the Line recipe pack alongside recipes from renowned chefs such as Vivek Singh, Francesco Mazzei, Sabrina Ghayour, Tom Hunt and Alfred Prasad himself. This is a great chance for budding chefs and food bloggers to get their culinary creations recognised by key figures in the food industry as well as on the plates of hundreds of dedicated Action Against Hunger supporters.
To enter the competition, simply submit your supersaver recipe with ingredient prices and a photo of the dish and email it to us by the 23rd March.
