Our Fine Wine Auction & Dinner raises over £234k

On Saturday, 21st November, our annual Fine Wine Auction & Dinner returned to 1 Lombard Street, a stunning former banking hall in Central London, uniting some of the UK’s top chefs to cook a fantastic bespoke meal for guests.

This year’s wonderful chefs included Rowley Leigh (FT Cookery Correspondent), Mitch Tonks (The Seahorse Restaurant), Ruth Rogers (River Café) and Bruno Loubet (Grain Store).

On behalf of the Action Against Hunger team, a huge thank you to all who supported the event for your efforts in making the evening such a tremendous success. The incredible money raised on Saturday will go a long way in helping malnourished children and their families.

Action Against Hunger's longstanding ambassador and celebrity chef Ken Hom donated two dinners for four people at his very own apartment in Paris. The auction lot raised £13,500 towards providing children with healthier futures.

Acclaimed restaurateur, chef and author, Mitch Tonks prepares his delicious fish course cured monkfish, savory, tomato and black olive oil.

Ewan Venters, CEO of Fortnum and Mason, actor Stanley Tucci and chefs Rowley Leigh and Mitch Tonks toast to a great evening in the kitchen at 1 Lombard Street.

Our wonderful chef supporters, Ruth Rogers (The River Cafe), Rowley Leigh (FT Cookery Correspondent), Juri Ravagli (1 Lombard Street) and Bruno Loubet (Grain Store) cooked up a storm to help malnourished children around the world.

Author and food writer Sabrina Ghayour, a longstanding supporter of Action Against Hunger, introduces Lot 1 during the live auction: a persian family style dinner party for 12 people prepared by Sabrina herself, raising £8,000 towards our work.
