On 15 November, the first 'Blaggers' Banquet' was held in aid of Action Against Hunger at New York-style steakhouse Hawksmoor.
The brainchild of food blogger Eat Like a Girl, whose site receives some 30,000 hits per month, the dinner was created entirely by bloggers using food that they blagged and that they themselves cooked and served.
An auction of foodie items followed the meal, with prizes ranging from signed cookbooks and private cookery classes to a year's worth of Chilango vouchers.
An online auction will run for the rest of the month on e-bay.
100% of the money raised through the banquet and the auction will go to Action Against Hunger.
Restaurants Against Hunger was founded in 1998. An international movement of restaurant owners, chefs and food writers supporting Action Against Hunger and its goal to end child hunger.
