Positioning paper: The human right to water

This positioning paper offers a common vision of the network’s approach, expectations and recommendations regarding the General Comment N°15, the UN’s approach to the Human Right to Water.

Action Against Hunger’s objective in publishing this positioning paper, is to consolidate its operational (including advocacy) approach through the comprehensive understanding of the implementation of the Human Right to Water for two main reasons. Firstly, to increase the impact and the sustainability of its programmes in the water, sanitation and hygiene sector. Secondly, to facilitate a capacity for an advocacy approach in the sector, both at the international and local level.
