Introduction to Food Security Intervention Principles

The objective of the book is to constitute a reference book specifying the principles of intervention for all food security activities, from initial assessment to programme implementation.

This booklet looks at a number of issues related to food security, such as the reinforcement of prevention by establishing surveillance systems, the development of the capacities of the populations in the medium term by providing the opportunity to engage in income-generating activities and in the longer term to develop their means of agricultural production and self-sufficiency, and much more.
