This briefing paper surveys households in Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Liberia and the Central African Republic in the wake of the global food crisis and finds that inflated food prices may not have an immediate impact on acute malnutrition at the national level, but that they have a significant and consistent impact on livelihoods and dietary diversity in all four countries.
