As the food shortages in East Africa worsen, you and your business can join Love Food Give Food in making a difference by supporting Action Against Hunger’s life-saving work.

From 1st September – 31st of October, food businesses across the UK join together in the fight against hunger with Action Against Hunger’s Love Food Give Food Festival. With 90p of every £1 raised going directly to Action Against Hunger’s life-saving programmes, you'll be making a real difference.

It’s easy to take part. Here are some suggestions how you can:

Restaurants, cafe’s and pubs

Add a discretionary donation between 50p and £1 to the table bill , or designate a bestselling dish to include a donation of 50p-£1

Current Partnership: Carluccio's restaurant group donate 50p from sales of their best-selling dish, Penne Giardiniera, which supports a project in Liberia.

Delis, farm shops and retailers

Donate a percentage of your takings or donate a percentage from the sales of a top-selling product

Food Producers

Pledge 10-50p from the sale of each product sold

Current Partnership: unearthed®, supplier of delicious Mediterranean food, is providing year round support by donating 1 penny from the sale of every unearthed® product.

Hotels

Host an event, donate 5-20% of the proceeds from room bookings, or add an optional £1 donation to customer’s bills in the restaurant.

Current Partnership: Six Senses international resort group have previously supported Action Against Hunger though events and staff fundraising; this year they will be generously donating a percentage of sales from dishes in their luxury restaurants.
