Hunger is the greatest scandal of our age.
Each year, more than 2 million children die because of malnutrition, despite the existence of known, tested and feasible solutions. With thanks to those who signed up and the 45,000 people who joined us at Hyde Park on 8 June, we've launched the most sustained assault in history on hunger and its causes as part of the Enough Food For Everyone IF campaign - work that will continue to make this the beginning of the end of hunger. You've been there every step of the way. We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you. With your help we have started The Beginning of the End of Hunger.
The idea is that there will only be Enough Food for Everyone IF we generate so much noise that our leaders are compelled to act. And for that – we need you!
The G8 leaders met on 17-18 June in Northern Ireland. In the run up, David Cameron hosted a Hunger Summit on 8 June. This was a unique opportunity to tackle hunger and save millions of lives. Find out what we achieved.
On Saturday 8 June, 45,000 people gathered in Hyde Park for the Big IF London rally. They were there to make a massive noise in demanding that G8 leaders - meeting in Northern Ireland on 17-18 June - take action to tackle global hunger and save the lives of millions.
Speakers on the day included a range of speakers including Bill Gates, Danny Boyle and David Beckham. The day also comprised of the powerful image below, made up of 250,000 spinning flowers and with each one of the millions of petals representing a child's life lost because of malnutrition.
If you haven't yet joined the IF campaign, add your name today. The more people who push the message that there’s "Enough Food For Everyone IF…", then the harder it’ll be for the G8 to ignore.
Together, we can make 2013 the beginning of the end of the global hunger crisis:
