Carluccio's staff get in gear to fight child hunger

On Saturday 7 July - Carluccio’s CEO Simon Kossoff and six members of his team set off on an epic 500 mile cycle challenge from Glasgow to London. Not content with already raising more than £750,000 for Action Against Hunger since 2008, the Carluccio’s team had one mission in mind… to raise even more funds to fight child hunger.

30km into the race, it’s been raining hard and the team are already soaking wet…..oh dear.

The team plod on through Scotland, despite the rain and a series of punctures.

Luckily Cycle Tours UK are on hand to support the team every step of the way.

It’s not all rain and wind! Cycling through the Peak District proved a great day for the Carluccio’s riders.

Riding through the beautiful English countryside.

But not all the roads are quite that easy!

And some had even almost disappeared under flood water.

Carluccio’s restaurants supported the team all the way, providing much-needed energy filled foods and donating £1 from each main course sold that evening to Action Against Hunger!

They've done it! Antonio Carluccio and the team present Action Against Hunger with a cheque for a staggering £812,000.

The Carluccio's team celebrate achieving their epic challenge and raising vital funds to help save children's lives.
