On Tuesday 7 May 2013 our supporters came together at our inaugral Auction Against Hunger and raised almost £85,000, supporters also raised £15,000 in our online auction. Some of the UK's hottest chefs and restaurants are offered some truly unique lots.
Auction Against Hunger is the newest addition to Action Against Hunger’s event calendar and a fabulous opportunity to be one of the first to see the newly refurbished roof terrace of exclusive private member’s club Shoreditch House!
The evening featured some of the biggest names in the restaurant world.
Action Against Hunger hosted the night in collaboration with the brainchild of the project, son of restaurant critic legend and co-founder of Islington’s Draper’s Arms, Ben Maschler along with Nick Jones from Soho House. If that wasn’t enough we also had some seriously good prizes in our live and silent auction too! We held a live auction, a silent auction and also had a raffle on the night, the full breakdown of how much our fantastic supporters have raised is below:

Guests were greeted with a Champagne Taittinger reception before being free to roam the newly revamped roof top bar, lounge, pool area, garden and lazy lawn of one of the fashionable renovated warehouses in London’s East End. Complimentary wine and beer was available all evening as were delicious delights from an array of street food vendors including Dirty Burger, Chicken Shop, Vinn Goute, Healthy Yummies, Fleisch Mob and Frankie Momo.

As well as a live and silent auction, there was a raffle, live music and magic tricks upon demand (and upon dollar) from magician to the stars Fay Presto. Matt Hennem with his enchanting ‘Liquid Crystal’ piece which captivated and amazed.
The ultimate culinary connoisseur’s charity do and a great party, Auction Against Hunger had one aim, to raise as much vital funding as possible for the malnourished children of the world.
