Hogan Lovells, the leading international law firm, are supporting Action Against Hunger for a period of 3 years from Janury 2011 to December 2013. The partnership was originally for a 24 month period, but the partnership has recently been extended for a further year.
Richard Tyler, the London-based partner responsible for Hogan Lovells' international charity partnership said, "We are delighted to be extending our partnership with Action Against Hunger to December 2013. We have really enjoyed our partnership with them over the last year and we look forward to raising further funds to help them continue their life saving work in Liberia."
To support the international partnership with Hogan Lovells, staff from Action Against Hunger have visited the law firm's offices in London, Paris, Madrid, Washington and Singapore. Employees at Hogan Lovells worldwide have been raising money throughout the partership, arranging a wide variety of fund-raising events.
Hogan Lovells have indicated that they hope to raise at least £180,000 ($300,000) for the charity during the partnership. The funds are being used to support a sustainable project in Monrovia, the capital of Liberia. The project focuses on prevention and early detection as well as treatment of malnutrition. Hogan Lovells’ donation will be used to part fund this project which it is hoped will reach 10,000 beneficiaries.
