Live Below the Line

Contenu

There is enough food in the world for everyone and yet tonight one in eight people will go to bed hungry. We want to challenge the way people in the UK think about hunger, and in the process raise funds to end it. Could you live below the line and help us achieve this?

What is Live Below the Line?

Live Below the Line is a campaign with over 30 charity partners that challenges individuals to live below the poverty line for a week and change the way they think about poverty. Individuals are challenged to spend a maximum of £1 a day on food and drink, or £5 over the 5 day campaign, and to fundraise whatever they can in sponsorship for their challenge.

How can I get involved?

You can find more information about how to approach the challenge and how to sign up for Action Against Hunger by clicking here. Alternatively you can call or email us with any questions about the campaign and to get started.

Where do I start?

The Live Below the Line website, Facebook page and recipe app feature lots of tips, recipes from celebrity chefs and suggested shopping lists to help you during your challenge, so plenty of support is on hand to see you through to the end!

Action Against Hunger StaffWe are also excited to be supported by Damian Wawrzyniak, chef director of Fine Art of Dining LTD, and Rekha Mehr, founder of Pistachio Rose, both of whom have provided a tasty, nutritious and budget friendly Live Below the Line recipe for Action Against Hunger!

You may find it easier to get through the week by getting together a team and pooling your resources - just like Action Against Hunger staff did.

We hope you will join us, and the growing movement committed to seeing an end to hunger in our lifetime.

Think you're ready for the challenge? Sign up today.
