Sir Ronald Grierson - Patron
Paul Wilson - Chairman
Paul Wilson has been Chairman of Action Against Hunger since November 2006. Paul has over twenty five years experience of the Financial Services industry and has been a leader of several professional services businesses. He is currently Senior Advisor at Bain & Co as well as a Non-Executive Director of Abbey Protection plc and R J Kiln & Co Ltd.
John Barwick MBE
A trustee of Action Against Hunger since 2004, John Barwick has been heavily involved with the charitable sector for many years.
In the last 15 years of his work with Coutts & Co – a private banking firm- John has acted as a charities specialist and spearheaded the creation of the Charities proposition for Coutts. He is very active in the voluntary sector and advises Charities on various issues. John was awarded an MBE in the 2008 Queen's Birthday Honours List for "Services to Banking and to Charity" and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
François Danel
François Danel is the Executive Director of ACF-France. Since 1990 he has held various positions both within the Charity and on the Board of Trustees, including the roles of Financial Director and Elected Vice President.
Alongside his humanitarian involvement, François was the Financial Director of UCPA, an organisation managing 130 sports centres, and has also held the position of General Secretary for IFAS, a consulting firm specialised in training and management.
Denis Metzger
Denis Metzger joined Action Against Hunger in 1979 shortly after the charity was first set up. Since joining he has held numerous positions such as Country Director in Pakistan, Programme Manager, Fundraising and Communications Manager, Treasurer, Secretary General, Vice-President and even President.
In addition to his strong humanitarian commitment, Denis has had a professional career in merchant banking with JP Morgan (in London and New York), then with Charterhouse (France) as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman until 2000. Since 2001, he has been the CEO of Chequers Capital.
Frances Pasteur
Frances Pasteur has worked with Action Against Hunger for many years and joined the charity in 1996 as a Nutrition and Food Security Officer in North Uganda. While working with Action Against Hunger she worked as a Strategic Advisor as well as Head of the Food Security and Nutrition Department.
She has accrued headquarter and field experience over the years through her work as nutritionist for various different charities.
As a public nutritionist and a nutritional therapist, Frances has very strong experience in humanitarian and nutrition policy as well as strategy work.
Tim Wright
Tim Wright became trustee of Action Against Hunger in 2011. He brings to Action Against Hunger over twenty years experience as a business leader, advisor and entrepreneur. Tim is Chief Operating Officer of Willis Group, the global insurance broker and risk management advisor.
He previously worked in management consulting, at Bain & Company where he led the Financial Services practice, and Booz Allen & Hamilton where he was UK Managing Partner; in between these roles, he co-founded and ran a software company based in New York and London.
